How we earn trust

Editorial, evidence and corrections standards

Public content should be useful enough to act on, transparent enough to verify, and careful enough to respect the limits of coaching and AI.

Our standard

We identify who created or reviewed a page, distinguish original frameworks from outside research, link material claims to accessible sources when possible, disclose important limitations, and correct errors without disguising them as routine freshness updates.

Authorship and review

Pages about men's emotional fitness and The Inner Kingdom are created or reviewed by Dr. John Schinnerer, PhD. Pages centered on mindfulness, burnout, boundaries, and women's emotional wellbeing are created or reviewed by Joree Rose, MA, LMFT. Relationship resources may be reviewed by both. Credentials describe the reviewer; they do not turn Proximity content into diagnosis, treatment, or individualized clinical advice.

How we describe evidence

Sources

We prefer primary research, government and university resources, professional bodies, and direct product documentation. We link the exact source when available. A source supports only the claim for which it is cited; research on another product is not treated as evidence that Proximity will produce the same result.

Product comparisons

Proximity is an interested party when comparing its own products with competitors. Comparisons should identify the information reviewed, avoid speculation about undisclosed technology, acknowledge where another product may fit better, and tell readers to verify current features, pricing, privacy, and terms directly. Competitors may request a factual correction.

AI-assisted publishing

AI may assist with outlining, editing, formatting, structured data, or source discovery. A named human reviewer remains responsible for the published claims. We do not knowingly publish invented citations, fabricated statistics, or AI-generated expert quotations.

Corrections and updates

We update substantive pages when evidence, product behavior, safety guidance, or competitor information changes. Material corrections should be reflected in the page's updated date. We do not change dates merely to make old content appear new.

Coaching and safety boundary

Proximity provides educational coaching and skills practice. It does not provide therapy, diagnosis, medical care, legal advice, or crisis response. Communication exercises are not appropriate for coercion, stalking, violence, or abuse. Visit Crisis Safety for urgent resources and boundaries.

Request a correction

Send the page URL, disputed statement, and supporting source to info@proximitycoaching.com. We will review good-faith requests and correct material factual errors.
